These terms govern your use of ClaimGigs. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the platform. We have tried to write them in plain language; where a clause matters to your money, it is stated explicitly rather than buried.
ClaimGigs operates a marketplace connecting people who want to complete digital task work with companies that need that work done. We are not your employer. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship, a partnership or an agency relationship between us. You decide which tasks to claim, when to work and whether to work at all.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. One person may hold one account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to it.
We collect a device fingerprint and your signup IP address to detect duplicate accounts. Operating more than one account is grounds for closing all of them and forfeiting unpaid balances on the duplicates.
Verification is tiered. Tier 0 is free and requires an email address, a phone number and a device check. It allows you to browse the marketplace, claim work and earn up to $20.00 in lifetime earnings.
Tier 1 requires a government-issued identity document and a liveness check. It becomes necessary at your first withdrawal or once your lifetime earnings pass $20.00, whichever comes first. It costs $1.50, charged once, deducted from your earnings and disclosed on screen before the flow begins. We never charge it to a payment card.
If a verification is rejected you will be told why and may resubmit. We may decline to verify an account where the documents do not match the account holder.
Each task listing states the reward you will be paid, the estimated time, the requirements and the criteria a reviewer will apply. The reward shown is the reward paid on approval. We do not deduct a commission from it.
Claiming a task reserves a slot for 3 times the task's estimated duration. If you do not submit within that window the claim expires and the slot returns to the pool. An expired claim is not a rejection and does not affect your quality score.
Work you submit must be your own and must be produced by you. Submitting work generated by an automated tool where the task prohibits it, copying another worker's submission, or submitting deliberately low-effort work to farm volume, are all breaches of these terms.
Submissions are reviewed by the company that posted the task, or by our team where the task uses managed QA. Reviewers must record a decision (approved, rejected or revision requested) together with a comment. You can read that comment on every outcome, including approvals.
If you believe a rejection was wrong you may appeal it from the submission. Appeals are handled by ClaimGigs, not returned to the client, and are answered within 48 hours. If an appeal succeeds, the submission is treated as approved and paid.
Approved work is credited to your wallet in United States dollars at the moment of approval. Balances are held as an integer number of cents and every movement is recorded as a ledger entry you can see in your transaction history.
Withdrawals are paid to M-Pesa. The minimum withdrawal is $5.00. A flat fee of $0.30 applies per withdrawal and is waived entirely on withdrawals of $50.00 or more.
Because your balance is in dollars and M-Pesa settles in shillings, we quote an exchange rate and hold it for 15 minutes while you confirm. The rate you were shown is stored against the withdrawal and is the rate we honour, even if the market moves before the payment settles. The shilling figure shown before you confirm is what will arrive; we do not deduct anything further.
You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn. We do not withhold tax and do not provide tax advice.
You earn 10% of the commission ClaimGigs earns on work completed by people you refer, for 12 months from their signup, capped at $200.00 per referred person.
Nothing is paid for a signup alone. Referral income exists only where the person you referred has completed work that a client accepted. Creating accounts to refer yourself, or inducing signups from people who have no intention of working, voids the referral and may close your account.
You fund a task before it goes live and are charged your stated rate for each submission you accept. Rejected submissions are not charged. Budget that is not spent is released back to your wallet when the task closes.
You must review submissions in good faith and against the criteria you published. Rejecting work that meets your stated criteria in order to avoid paying for it is a breach of these terms; where we uphold a worker's appeal, the submission is paid and charged to you.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the work you commission and for having a lawful basis to process any personal data you place in task instructions or attachments.
You may not:
We may suspend an account while we investigate a suspected breach, and close it where a breach is established. Where an account is closed for fraud, balances derived from the fraudulent activity are forfeited; balances earned legitimately before it remain payable.
You may close your account at any time. Withdraw your balance first: we will pay out a remaining balance above the minimum on request, but a balance below $5.00 cannot be sent to M-Pesa.
The platform is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that work will be available, that any particular volume of work will be available to you, or that you will earn any particular amount. Nothing on our marketing pages is a promise of income.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of Kenya. Subject to that, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amounts we paid you in that period and $50.00.
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights (fees, how you are paid, or what conduct is permitted) we will tell you before it takes effect and you will have the opportunity to close your account instead of accepting it.
These terms are governed by the law of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions go to support@claimgigs.com.
